Practical First Aid Courses for Individuals, Business, Community Groups & Families
This a practical family friendly first aid course which aims to teach you the essential basics of emergency first aid procedures for adults, children and babies. Our courses are designed to be simple to do and easy to remember.
What will you learn?
Essential skills to be able to confidently manage
• the priorities of first aid.
• an unconscious casualty who is breathing – recovery position.
• an unconscious casualty who is not breathing – CPR
• understand the importance of a defibrillator
Recognise and manage:
• someone who is in shock
• an acute allergic reaction - Anaphylactic shock
• an adult, child or baby who is choking
• a head injury, skull fracture, concussion and compression
• someone who is having a seizure•
• someone who having a heart attack or angina
• someone in shock
Plus learn the simple steps which will keep you safe
Limited are limited in each course to allow everyone to gain hands on experience on resuscitation manikins.
These are a non-certified courses and therefore not suitable for people needing first aid training for a professional or work environment.
We offer low-cost community courses a few times a year. Priced at 50% of our usual fee to enable more people to gain these essential skills.
These courses are open to anyone over 16 yrs, and we often get 3 generations of families attending which is brilliant!

Our courses are delivered in a relaxed environment in small groups to ensure that everyone has individual attention, with a combination of powerpoint presentations, handouts, video and practical sessions which offer hands-on experience with realistic feedback resuscitation manikins.
We use state of the art Prestan training manikins which offer life-like and responsive training, which gives people a lifelike experience of the best "real life" CPR outcomes.
Please note: To be effective CPR is usually performed on the floor.
